Bence de hoş bir durum değil. Benim için bu hali daha bile hoş görünüyor ama sağlık sorunu olmadığına emin olmak lazım. Japonyada kono satan en ünlü yerle yazıştım şimdi, o da hiçbir sorun olmaz dedi. Ama ardından "please trust the quality of Made in Japan" yazdı. Bu tarz ifadeler tam hayırsız enişte lafları, kandırılıyormuş gibi hissediyorum

Benim Hario çizik epeydir. 2 yıllık dripper ama son 1 yıldır öyle diyebilirim. Timemore'da sıkıntı yok ama onu yeni yeni çok kullanmaya başladım.

Bendeki Hario da aynı şekilde mikro çatlaklar var. Sıcaklıktan dolayı oluyor. Su hariç hiçbirşey değmedi. Hario Türkiye demlemenizde sorun olmaz diyerek dönüş yaptı. Zamanla çatlak sayısı ve boyutları artıyor. Bütün Hario larda bu oluyorsa kullanılan malzeme problemli yoksa üretimde malzeme kalitesinde tutarsızlık var

Bu plastik dripperlarda kullanılan hammaddeler farklı oluyor. Bazıları patenli vs oluyor ama firmalar bu konuyu çok dile getirmiyor. Mesela orea TROGAMID kullanıyor. Timemore PCTG kullanıyor. Hario Polypropylene kullanıyor. Kono acaba ne kullanıyor?

Şöyle biri bilgi edindim: 1970'lerde japonyadaki kahvelerin hepsi dark roast olduğu için yüksek ısı kullanılmıyormuş zaten. O yüzden ısıya dayanıklılığı önemsememişler. Ancak bu durum önceden de belirttiğim gibi bir sağlık sorunu yaratmıyormuş. Zaten bendeki v60'a baktım @nuclearmoonrise 'ınki kadar olmasa da onda gördüm böyle çatlamalar. Sebebi sıcak soğuk geçişiymiş. Clear konolar için ise 90 derecenin altı öneriyormuş çatlama olmaması için.

@mustafaipek Materyal için ise: Acrylic resin denmiş. @teyyaredenkahve 'ninki gibi saydam olmayanlar ise "heat resistant resin" olarak belirtilmiş, yani onlarda çatlak olması daha düşük ihtimal gibi görünüyor.

Malzeme değişince hammadde maliyeti değiştiği gibi şekil vermenin zorlukları da değişiyor. Ayrıca bilindik materyallerin sağlığa etkileri yönünde çok fazla çalışma var ama markalı hammaddelerin sağlığa etkileri üzerinde çok fazla çalışma yok. O yüzden bilindik materyalleri almak da kendi içinde mantıklı

Some of you might know me better from IG @alcheng88 aka Señor Geisha… I am a long time user of Kōno Meimon drippers (since 2010) and although my oldest one has been disposed of in 2014, it’s replacement is still with me and still used regularly. I am also an (unofficial) ambassador of Kōno Japan therefore have access to their newest limited editions.

I see some posts here with pictures of cracked Kōno drippers and I’d like to say that this is perfectly normal since the plastic used is still the same specs as the original from 1970’s. Back then and until today, most Japanese roasts are dark, although this dripper works well extracting light roasts as well. The downside is the crazing or cracking which occurs on the plastic when it is subjected to high temperatures (>90C) and also when shocked with sudden cool water like when immediately rinsing after use. Do not worry, I often use my Kōno drippers with brew temps of 95-99C. Try not to shock the dripper and it will last longer without crazing / cracking.

I will attach my Kōno brew guide in case some of you are having trouble brewing delicious cups. Please kindly adjust parameters according to your taste preference. The key to using the dripper is to be gentle and deliberate with your pour technique. Abaca or Kōno “green pack” filter papers are highly recommended with my recipe. Please enjoy!

Thanks for the explanation. I'm not a Kono user yet but now I know why my Hario dripper has so many cracks

Welcome @Senor_Gesha! It's nice too see you here in our community. I wish we could buy kono drippers in Turkey with affordable prices, this isn't the possible at the moment.

Thank you for the tip btw, I think I spotted this issue with my new hario plastic dripper. I don't rinse it after usage, using with caution and never planning to machine-wash, because I experienced that it damages the drippers a lot. (thanks to @teyyaredenkahve)

Benim 2010 da aldığım V60 da da epey kılcal çizik var ama en büyük sebebi bulaşık makinesine atmak.

Dün edindiğim Kono ile 2 gündür demlemeler yapıyorum. Filtrelerin drippera güzelce yapışması ayrı bir tatminlik yarattı öncelikle

Gövdeli kahve çıkarma durumundan bir nebze çekinmedim değil denemeden önce ama çıktıları beğendim gayet rahatsız edici bir durum ortaya çıkmadı.

Var mıdır güncel olarak kullanan Kono'yu yoksa edinen arkadaşlar bir köşede bıraktı mı ?

Ben kullanıyorum hocam, sorun yok. Özellikle hızlı süzülen kahvelerde kullanıyorum. osmotik akış da güzel oluyor.
